This article will walk you through the steps to create a Competition Campaign using the yourtri.be marketing platform so that you can start reaching your customers in an interactive way and increase your database.
Please ensure that when using Competition Campaigns you follow the rules, regulations and laws as set out by your state or country, as well as any social media platforms you share to, to ensure you are conducting the competition in line with any legal requirements.
Log In and Get Started
- Log in to yourtri.be dashboard
- Click on CAMPAIGNS > COMPETITION
- Click 'Add New Competition'
Campaign Info
1. Fill in the information fields to begin setting up your new campaign.
- Campaign Title – Give your campaign a short, distinct name to let your customers know what the campaign is
- Campaign Start Date (UTC) – Insert the date and time that you would like your campaign to begin
- Campaign End Date (UTC) – Insert the date and time that you would like your campaign to Finish
Note: UTC (Universal Time Coordinated) is the default time setting. Your local time will display in the information underneath once set. Ensure your local time is correct by adjusting the date and time entered into the information field for Start and End Date. - Campaign Theme (Colour Scheme) – Select the theme you would like to use for your campaign. Use standard 'Black & White' or select one of your themes from the drop down
2. Add Images. Drag and drop selected images or click to select an image from your file browser.
- Background Image – This is a static image. Your campaign will scroll over the top of this image
Image specifications: .JPEG only - max file size 300kb - Banner Image – This is the main image which appears at the top of your campaign page, like your Event Banner. This image might contains the event name or information and should be compelling enough to bring your event to life. If you have a Facebook page the banner on your page may be appropriate to use here.
Image specifications: .PNG only - max file size 120kb - 940 px wide x 300 px high - Favicon – This is the image that appears on each tab in your web browser. This should be the same as the one used on your website, if you have one.
Image specifications: .PNG only - max file size 30kb - 50 px wide x 50 px high
Note: Images are not required however, they do improve the overall appearance of your campaign and we suggest using all three if you have appropriate images. - Click 'Save & Proceed' – This will save your current work and move you on to 'Event Info'
Event Info
1. Fill in the information fields to set up how your campaign will look.
- Event Title – Use the title of the event that this campaign in linked to
- Event Intent – Describe why users should participate in the campaign eg. ENTER TO WIN 2x FREE TICKETS!
- Summary – Include information about the event you are promoting and the details of the campaign. Include a link to your T&C's if necessary
- Confirmation – This will appear in the Registration pop up once the user has entered the competition and completed the required steps
- Website – Insert your websites URL. This is the page your link will redirect to once the campaign has ended
- Facebook Page ID – Insert your Facebook Page ID. If you don't know how to find it click here
- Twitter Handle – This is your Twitter name. Do not include the @ symbol
- Snapchat Handle – This is your Snapchat name
- Instagram Handle – This is your Instagram name. Do not include the @ symbol
- Soundcloud Handle – Insert your profile URL. If you don't know how to find it click here. Do not include soundcloud.com/
- Spotify ID – This is your Spotify name. If you don't know how to find it click here
2. Add Images. Drag and drop selected images or click to select an image from your file browser.
- Facebook Share Image – This is the image that will appear in a Facebook thread when you share the link to your campaign. Your Banner Image may be appropriate however, the size specifications are different so ensure no important information is cut out. We suggest using an image that contains text that links back to your Campaign Intent eg. ENTER TO WIN 2x FREE TICKETS!
Image specifications: .PNG only - max file size 100kb - 1200 px wide - 630 px high - Click 'Save & Proceed' - This will save your current work and move you on to 'Venues & Dates'
Venues & Dates
1. Fill in the information fields to set up the venue(s) and date(s) of your campaign.
- Venue - is the place you are running the individual event
- Country - is the country where the venue is located
- Address - is an optional field that shows the customer the street address of the venue
- Suburb - is the suburb where the venue is located
- State - is the state where the venue is located
- Date/time - is the date and time of when the event starts at that location
- Timezone - is the timezone of that venue where the event is being held
- Click 'Save Venue/Date' - If your event is held at multiple locations or over multiple dates click 'Add New Venue/Date' and repeat the above steps for each venue or date needed
Note: At any point you need to edit these details click the edit icon on the list of venues/dates that will appear once you click save venue/date. If you wish to delete a venue/date from the list simply click the delete icon that appears in the list. - Click 'Complete Setup'
Share Your Campaign
- Click on CAMPAIGNS > COMPETITIONS and select the preview icon of the relevant campaign
- Campaign will open in a new tab
- Copy the URL and share to your desired platforms eg. Facebook, Twitter, EDM
