Promotion Codes can be a great marketing tool and can help build interest in your event as well as reward loyal customers or partners of your event.
To add a Promo Code for your event follow the steps below:
- Log in to your INTIX Account > Host An Event > Select your event
- Marketing > Promo codes
- Name your code (ex. EARLYBIRD10 or 2FOR1BEANIES)
You then set the parameters of the code's usage, including:
- % or $ amount off?
- how made times this code can be used. This is per ticket, not per transaction, so if someone uses it on 8 tickets in their cart, that's 8 uses out of your limit.
- Define the date range (ex. earlybird promo code only valid for a week)
- Select specific ticket types you want this code to apply to, or leave it as applicable to all types.
Uniqe Promo Codes
There are instances where you may want to track promo code usage, and thus need unique codes to be sent to individuals.
You can upload a .csv file of unique codes (ie member barcodes, or random generated codes) and set them as single or multiple use.
- Upload up to 500 codes from a .csv or .txt file.
- Separate codes with commas, or list them on separate lines. Each code must be a minimum 5 characters.
- Spaces, apostrophes, and special characters (except: "-", "_", ".", "+") are not allowed
Use a free website tool, such as Random.org, to generate as many codes as you need, using the specifications you set (i.e. how many characters, upper or lowercase, include numbers etc)

To upload your list of unique promo codes:
- Promo codes > More options
- Upload promo code .csv
- Set your usage parameters
Get the word out!
Now you can distribute the code and customers can start using it. You may want to do this by posting the code to your socials for all customers to see/find. Or, you may like to use it exclusively and only email it to a list of sponsors or members for your event to thank them for their support.
