Ticket Name Change is automatically turned on for events, and the default is set to require a name. The Ticket Name Change function allows customers to change the name on an individual ticket.
We suggest requiring names for ticket validation so that tickets match customer IDs at events.
This cuts down on scalping, or the selling of fake tickets, as well as allowing you to search for tickets that may have been lost or left at home.
When would a customer want to change the name on a ticket?
When Ticket Change is enabled, customers can use the function in their online account at intix.com.au
- If their child is taking part in a camp, class, or clinic, and can no longer attend, so they want to send another other child instead
- Someone buys several tickets for friends, but they are arriving separately. They can change the name and send the ticket to their friends so they have them - AND - are separately searchable on the Attendee List for the scanner staff at the door.
How it works for the customer:
- Name change creates a new ticket, under the new person's name. (the old ticket becomes invalid)
- The new person receives an email, and must accept a ticket. The ticket will now be in their account. (If they don't already have one, they'll create an account in the process)
- They arrive at the event with their ticket, or can state their name at the door, and will be searchable in the attendee list.
We recommend leaving the Ticket Change function enabled for all events, but if you would like to change it:
- Log in to your INTIX Account > Host An Event
- Tickets > Select the ticket category
- Advanced Settings > Ticket verification: Name (or Name & Date of Birth)
- Name Change fee field appears. This is your fee, and is editable to suit you.
Fees
Our INTIX fee for Name Change is fixed ($2.99) + the event organiser can add a fee of their own, or not. The field also defaults to $2.99, and is editable.
