INTIX's Official Ticket Resale feature serves your customers in two ways:
- Those who missed out on tickets to a sold out event can buy a ticket
- Customers who can no longer attend get the opportunity to recoup their money
INTIX Ticket Resale facilitates a safe transaction between buyers and sellers and is a part of our efforts to cut out scalpers and scammers - keeping your customers happy!
We suggest all Event Organisers require names for Ticket Validation as a minimum, and enable Name Change and Ticket Resale, so that tickets match customer IDs at an event. This cuts down on scalping or the selling of fake tickets.
When Ticket Resale is enabled and an event is Sold Out, customers can use the resale function through their INTIX account:
When a ticket is resold the original ticket is cancelled and a new ticket is issued in the new owner's name.
We recommend using the Ticket Resale function for all sold-out events to maximise your ticket sales, and to allow all opportunities for customers to access your event!
If you would like to change it, follow the directions below.
Turn Resale On/Off at an Event-Level
- Log in to your INTIX Account > Host An Event
- Order Options > Resale
- Enable and disable resale function as needed, and select individual ticket categories to apply the feature to.
NOTE: You MUST turn Resale off at the Ticket Category level for any inventory you do NOT want to be allowed to be resold. We recommend you do this prior to your event selling out, as when an event sells out, Resale will be switched ON at the Event Level.
Ticket Resale Fees
- There is an INTIX fee for this function
- Event Organisers can put a fee as well
- The default for each fee is $2.99AUD. The event organiser can change (or remove) their fee, but the INTIX resale fee cannot be edited.
IMPORTANT: Ticket Resale is automatically enabled for Sold Out events. If you do not want Resale to be enabled, follow the directions above to disable it.
