Did you buy tickets to an event for friends or family? This function allows you to send a ticket to the person you bought it for. It's fast and it's free!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- A ticket is only transferred out of your account once the person you've forwarded it to actually accepts it via the email they're sent
- If you forward the same ticket to multiple email addresses the first person to accept it will get it
- If the person you forwarded it to doesn't accept the ticket it will remain in your account
- If you have been forwarded a ticket and the link shows is expired it means the ticket was also forwarded to someone else and they have already accepted it
To forward a ticket from the confirmation page after you purchase the ticket:
In the bottom left of the screen you will see an order summary with the tickets you bought and the names you put on them.
- Click on 'Send ticket to ...'
- Enter the email address for the person you want to forward the ticket to
- Click 'Send ticket to ...'
It's that easy!
To forward a ticket from your account after you've purchased it:
- Log In (My Account) using the account you used to purchase tickets
- Under My Orders, locate the order containing the ticket(s) you wish to forward
- Click View Order
- Click Send Ticket To Friend
- Select the ticket you would like to forward
- Enter the email address for the person you want to forward the ticket to
- Click 'Transfer'
It's that easy!
It is important to remember that the name on a ticket should match the ticketholder's ID. This helps us to stamp out ticket scalping and most event organisers make it a requirement which means you may be refused entry if your ID and ticket don't match up and no one wants that!
Therefore, if you bought 3 tickets in your name it isn't enough to simply forward one to a friend. You should complete a Name Change so that the ticket matches the new ticketholder's ID. To see how to complete a name change click here to read the article.
